Sounds good Mark.  Is Dean the guy who builds the Nickelharpas?

My stage and performance banjo is a Deering and it can really be loud.  I am really going to enjoy this little plectrum banjo because it will work perfectly for the Civil War music and old ballads I perform.  it's fun to be able to change things up during a performance and this is sure a conversation starter.

Really like the sound of the all-wood build! I have a standard 5-string banjo which always struck me as sounding brash (and impossible to play softly!) because of that drumhead top. This one sounds much sweeter while still keeping that unique banjo twang.

Good stuff I like the sound of the banjo. I have a 4 string chicago tuned. I keep picking it up ;-)

There is so much good music from the 1800's it is a shame not to keep playing it.  In fact, I'm not real fond of most of the new stuff you hear now days.  I'll take the old stuff any day - it's about all I perform anymore. It's sure a ball to play on a unique instrument!!!

Really cool. Mine are cookie tins and although they sound ok, not as good as this. Nice tone and well played. I am an Ausie but I am fascinated by the Civil War history and music. Love reading about the great generals (currently reading US Grant and recently read Longstreet) and love the songs which tell a whole story of their own
