Comment by colin mcgrath on May 3, 2010 at 9:08am: i saw a special on wine and food where the neck of the bottle was removed by thin red hot pliers that wrapped around the neck. Then they put ice water or maybe a cool rag around the spot that was heated and it popped right off.
