Boss RC-20 Loop Station With Home Made Canjo

It's great fun making so much noise with such a simple home made "instrument"...with just one string!!!

Excellent and very creative! Thanks for demonstrating and sharing with all that with even just one string pulled through a common can there can be much creditable musical originality afforded, literally at ones very fingertips... CanJoe*John

ah right, yeah logically it makes sense to have them all, but I found it very refreshing playing this and the strummer I got recently...though wouldn't want it like that if it was my only instrument!!

Yeah I'd want one on the 10th too. My first fretted CBg was going to be like a dulcimer but I figured I'd want a fret at the 10th and one at the 3rd so I added those. I then found it to be neither one thing nor the other so my feelings were in future to put them all on.

thanks Kev and Smojo...Smojo, glad you're back!! The frets are like on a mountain dulcimer, think it's called diatonic?...they say it's just the notes from a major scale, but that would be like frets 2,4,5,7,9,11,12...but for some reason the 10th fret is there as well. I think maybe that's because with a 3 stringer you'd need that one..as this has only 1 string maybe I should have left that one out??....mostly sounds wrong, but occasionally it sounds good....

I'm back in the land of the living and can watch Youtube vids again - Yeah. It was my broadband modem causing probs. Anyhow, I love the little canjo thingy and your little looped tune is great. Might have a crack at making one sometime. By the way which fret positions have you used. Is it just major scale from open string?

thanks Mike, lol only did the fade out like that as I had forgotten to set the pedal to fade out when you stop it!! (you can set it 3 ways. 1 - it stops straight away, 2 - it fades out, and 3 - it plays to the end of the loop then stops)
