Thanks Professor Steve, That's is a great version Nancy I can see why you like it, the vid reminds me of a silent Jim vid. I can't promise you but listening to differant version is pulling  at my heart string this is a song that can be argued as one of the best song ever witten and i don't disagree so will see. Been wanting to do covers of            Little Green Apples and You Got A Friend. So it on the list.

Here's the story...

"Greensleeves - a broadside ballad by this name was registered at the London Stationers Company in September 1580 by Richard Jones, as "A Newe Northen Dittye of ye Ladye Greene Sleves".

There is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry  VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Bolyn. However, Henry did not compose "Greensleeves", which is probably Elizabethan in origin and is based on an Italian style of composition that did not reach England until after his death."

...nice song though! (-:

It never fails, Greensleeves is a song I have avoided like the plaque. I think most people think of it as a instrumental. But I will see what I can do Nancy, be a few weeks i'm day to day right now. I think its an old English folk song i'll get a lyric sheet see what happens.
