2 String Fretless Bass Cigar Box Guitar - Demo.

Having ignored several people's advice about truss rods and various ways of strengthening the neck, I'm a bit worried it might bend and snap at any moment, so that adds a bit of interest while playing!!!

It really does sound nice Belinda ...!! I'ts not bad to go against all the rules sometimes I dont think .. I just built 2 CBGs and on both didnt screw bolt or Glue the necks to the bodies, and they sound really nice and are very strongly held together, I'm sure plenty would say that was wrong, if it works and you like it, it's right ..!!

thanks! Oooh that's a good pedal the JamMan...yeah  it takes a bit of practice getting that first loop right, but then you'll be away : -)

Love it, Belinda!  And you do a great job with the loop pedal.  I haven't mastered mine yet - I have the Digitech JamMan.... I just need to muck around with it a bit to get better at it....  anyway, awesome work!!!

ah thanks : -) It's 30" scale and it has the top 2 from 4 string bass set....the D and G strings (65 and 50 gauge)

btw at first I thought you were guessing one of the strings when you put G, then I realised you meant G for Graham, lol!

It still sounds fresh after 5 playings. What is the distant's between nut and bridge and which 2 strings have you used? G.

John and Loco - I have a Boss loop pedal which is great and I have used a lot (the RC20XL) but for this I was doing it on my amp - the Roland AC33 which has a simple loop function on it that you can control with a footswitch.

Boss do several different loopers, then there's the Akai Headrush (made famous by KT Tunstall) and the Digitech JamMan..those are the ones I remember from when I looked into it. There are probably more by now!!

Anyway they're brilliant fun. I'd highly recommend getting one : -)
