TDA7297 is an integrated stereo amplifier chip. You can get amplifier boards using this chip really inexpensively. It's maximum output is 15 watts for the chip and because the board is designed for auto use, it runs on 12 volts. There are a few challenges trying to use it and a few benefits. I tried making a mixer circuit so I could use just one speaker. It did not work, so I had to mix the dual inputs before the amplifier and run two speakers. On the other side, because it is stereo, if you can get something working well, it is dual channel. This would be great for busking w ith a guitar and mic.

I took the amp out tonight where I play with some guys in a small warehouse. The power in that sized room was negligable and absolutely nothing compared to my fender champ 20. So I am scratching my head right now trying to figure,out exactly how much power I am getting.
