Hey Hard luck Chuck, good to hear from you. That box I used is really old cedar, I was afraid of cracking the top so opted for side holes. Been trying to learn fretting on some scrap walnut, not getting the hang of it very well. I have medium creature and a saw from CB gitty, hard to get the frets tight. Need more practice. I want my next box to be fretted.

Thanks Chuck, it sounds easy when i say live the thing, but thats to consumtius,so try to make it your own, and when you are in the right mood put it to tape or chip, don't doctor it to much and leave it spontanous, thats the advise i whoed give if you ask me, and you need to make mistakes to learn. ill say no more thanks again !
