Hi there, thanks for the comment. Yes that box does produce a low tone but the stringing helped a bit courtesy of ChickenBoneJohn. 3 is really homely and cool - I reckon that box must be a real oldie. And 4, yes it would need a health and safety assessment before doing a gig as it is a bit pointy - hey I feel a song coming on - how about "Careful with that axe you jean wearing person"?

cheers mate & hello from Bonnie Scotland,
been totally gobsmacked at this site, cant believe i never worked out that people like Charlie Patton, Son House unable to pay for a real guitar would have made their own out of throughaway materials. Being lefthanded with no disapline for a guitar I much prefared trying to make them out of old necks & biscuit tins with various degrees of success so you can imagine my surprise at seeing my first cigar box guitar, the instrument of my blues heroes. I'm currently buying as much parts right now to make a few with the first couple being 6 string jobs to get in the swing of making decent bodies, then to eventually make 3 stringers, fretted/nonfretted. Downloading all i can find on CBG's just now, hope I've got some news & pics for you all soon, cheers again Hollowbelly, Colin.

Hey man, just wanted to say that the new album just gets better with each listen, but you gotta come to the west coat and play. There is a lack of cbg enlightenment.
