Hi Steve,

I am pleased to have you for a nation friend.  I read your profile info and we must be nearly the same age and we both learned to play guitar relatively late ( me at nearly 50- now 62).  And I prefer to play a 3 string to a 6.  :)   I like your cbgs too, Hobo, Rum Punch and video.....

I like living in a rural area, but I miss out on seeing some of the great groups you have seen and having the other cbg folk and fests within reach....  My town of 5k has incredibly good music, but only me for cbgs and pretty much just me for blues.  Will attend a little concert tonight with another older home town boy playing at the coffee plant.  Just in case I'm asked, I have 2 songs ready to go on his storebought 6 string.

   Cheers,

John

Wow, I didn't think I was going to start Friday this way.  After listening to Lost Dog, I'm glad I'm sitting in my office by myself.  There's some mysterious salty fluid emanating from my eyes.  The stoic Finn genes couldn't hold it back.  Thanks for sharing that song.  Well written, played and sung.

Thank you Steve for your friendship. Yes, the trick is to enjoy the process. If you can make practice time relaxing and fun...slow and steady wins the race. Enjoy your practice, Keni Lee

Thanks for your input, Steve. Although, logically, I should have thought the pole screws were for adjusting they seemed stiff on my second hand p/u so I didn't put too much pressure on as I normally have a terminal effect on things mechanical. Yes, they do turn and I will try adjusting if I ever 'cannibalise'! My 'hot rail' bridge pickup gives a great sound but I am planning on a 'closed jazz guitar neck pickup for the 'Bletherawk B6'. Thanks again :-)

Thank you Steve for sharing personally. I am glad to hear you found solutions for your situation. I am sure it will help to inspire others to persist. Enjoy, Keni Lee
