I like the amazing grace vid, nice guitar you got there as well ! I built a 6 string out of number plates which should be in my photos, but after seeing yours I think I'm going to try a 3 string next

I just noticed that you have joined the Brits are coming and wanted to welcome you to this site and say "hello".

I also play 4 string instruments. There are several ways to tune the instrument. I use

D G B E (low to high) for traditional finger style chords and lead. This is convenient as this "Chicago" tuning is the same as a baritone ukulele>

If you are more interested in slide playing, you could do worse than trying D F# A D. Again low to high. This is an open chord of D.

I usually play slide in this "Vestapol" tuning and find it very useful. There are other slide tunings.that I use.

Hi John .. I made  CBU CigarboxUkulele myself and tuned it to standard GCEA...sounds great...I know a lot of guys here have 4 stringers and there should be a few groups that would be helpful with discussion forums. I uld love to make one to be able to slide with.
