I just posted a song on my page using the cross note tuning you explained. My guitar is tuned open Gmin and I play major chords and pull off for the minor note. I like my first cut at this. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Thanks for the comment on my video. When I started, I didn't plan on singing this song. I was practicing finger picking and trying out different notes from the G major scale. I just happened upon Shortenin Bread by accident and went with it. My tuning is GBe so, like I said, it was somewhat accidental that I tried singing along. I could have used some liquid courage. I was stone sober for that video.
Thanks for the post on cross note tuning. I tuned my 6string to Dm and I'm learning how to make that darkness work. Pretty powerful. I also have a new 3-string tuned GBe making an inverted Em. So I wondered what it would sound like doing 12 bars and I was pretty pleased with the sound. For the shuffle I changed between Em and Cmaj. Then barring the 5th and 7th fret with on/off the 8th fret on the middle string. Cool stuff.

Well, when i checked it this morning to copy the link for you, it was disabled for some reason. if it worked for you, than thats great.
NJ, huh? i heard it is really great out there in the fall. if i ever make it out that way..........same goes if you ever venture west.
Keni, keep doing what you doing. I found this video a long time ago and posted it up on my WS bluesbox site.

looks like the video was disabled, but it worked for a long time and i have a bunch of people tell me that they watched and used it.
Where are you in the States?
It would really cool to link up one day and share some tunes.
