hello joe, great job on the finished resonator build--looks great and i will bet it sounds great too. to answer a few of your questions---yes those are banjo hooks and lugs on the banjanator,i thought it would add to the banjo effect--plus it ties in the pan to the frame for more sustain. on the cohiba resonator--that is a tenor banjo neck i recycled and refinished with a tobacco finish to match the box better.thanks for your interest and your comments joe.

Thanks Randy. I think that is a cool idea. I was looking around at tamborines, but most do not adjust so the constant pressure of the strings may have had a effect on keeping it in tune. I think I might give one a shot sometime.

Thanks Rod. I could not figure it out. Should have guessed the obvious.

Thanks for the comment and the question Joe. if you go to the first page of my pics and look for the one that says guts 1, you will see what i did, the strings go through the top and the neck but not the bottom. i can open that box even when strung up.

Joe, Thanks for the comment on my strum stick. I would really like to see larger pictures of your six string one. I have tired old eyes and the little pictures are very hard to see. Why so small pictures?

You have some real nice work here yourself.

Make her that fiddle! Get that same box and a fiddle set-up set off ebay. Fire up the dremel and the band saw and you are in business!

I have not found a better box yet, but I'm still looking. The one I used sounds pretty good but is too deep. You'll have to slice of some from the bottom (top).

It would knock her out if you made her one!
