Well, for "jus a crappy chinese strat body" you have done a great job of giving it a new personality. It looks like you have generated a bunch of wood chips from that one.

Great set of pictures and a brill workshop. I could do with some of those tools, esp the table saw and pillar drill and ......... etc! I'm told the best place round here is the local auction where you can pick stuff up dirt cheap.

thanks for the kind words Mr. Budget.  biggest lesson learned was that getting tuners to fit in that headstock was a pain.  On the next one I'll likely try to make a square slot for the tuners and graft the scroll onto the top of it.  the neck runs through a slot in the top of the violin and all the way through to the bottom.  I used two of the large Gitty piezo's.....One in was embedded in top an bottom with 3 layers of felt and put in a recess in the neck and the other was embedded on 4 layers each side and placed on the bass side of the cavity.  each is distinctly different and it sounds better with both on .    the violin tailpeice looks really cool....and makes it apain to keep in tune.  I'll likely skip it on the next one.  Good luck.  i would love to see what you come up with.
