How do I get that 1960-70 rock amp sound?

Hi
I'm looking for tips to sort out my live sound
and get a great rocking sound from my amp and CBG

Has anyone got any tips?

I think valves is the only way to go
but what's the best amp pedal combo for some
great rocking sounds?

Or do I just need to add an overdrive?

As I need a fatter sound.
(AC/DC, 70's rock kinda thing with some 60's
Cleaner songs too)

All help or fun is appreciated

Keep rocking
Bug

Ps using a 4 string an P bass pickup
Plus a 3 string and single double hotrail
Pup
Six string goldfoil (which works ok for sound)

Playing Cambridge hence would like help to sort
Before then if anyone fancies giving me some tips?

If you are asking what Hollowbelly (HB) uses, I can tell you. I built his "Blues Preacher" amp...22 watts into a 12" Eminence Legend speaker, Baltic birch cabinet, lacquered tweed covered, Presence and "Black Face" switching, Accutronics spring reverb. Available exclusively from me.

Pick strolling tones uses a micro terror that sounds good

Hence why the goldfoil works and not much else
and why seasick uses them on everything !
Will try an od pedal or 2!

I have some old mullards in an amp that's should work
With a driver pedal then..

Ok will try something..

best  way  to  get  vintage  tone   , is with  vintage  stuff  .  including  pickups   etc.

anything  new  ..  you  are attempting to  mimic  it  .

and   any    one   new  component ,  can  toss  it   outta  whack.

And apparently I need a F-off sized overdrive pedal Too!
(To make the valves bleed!)

But not with a 4 string or 3 string
