Hi everyone here. I have tried several times to download the plans "building a 3 string cigar box guitar" and I get a blank page. The other "advanced" pages downloaded just fine. Is there a download there? Can some one email me those plans? rogueoak@gmail.com

thanks Steve. The fiddle has been finished today. I have no idea about fine tuning that fiddle, so I was looking for somebody who would test it - I decided to go straightly to the famous Prayner Conservatory. A very nice violin maestra was quite surprised about the sound! Big shot! She called a fellow teacher to let him try the fiddle. They agreed to make a video once the second fiddle is ready. This is encouraging :-)

setting a sound post is a P.I.T.A., but with this method it worked really smooth!

Thanks Jon, it's almost done. Now I experiment with the bridges - the first one was of simple plywood to get the shape - the final bridge is made of old plum. Either thick (3mm at the top end) - or thin (2mm at the top, 3mm at the foot end)

the fiddle is strung up, now comes the sound post. It's cut from one-way chop sticks. The placing is very tricky. I drilled 3 small holes and bent 3 wires - two to grab it on one side, one on the other. A yarn helps to recover it when it flips.
