Yes! The saddle sits on top of the rod piezo. This is how they are designed to work. Thanks for asking.

These look really nice!  Are you putting the rod in the bottom of the saddle itself?  I'm pretty new at this and I'm a little confused about having to have the rod touching the bridge or just inset into the bottom.
