Excellent, nice build, I’m sure it will thump with new strings.,. Nothing like playing an instrument you built for your self

Yes! here in the UK, a 'grass trimmer' is called a 'strimmer' (though I prefer your description!) and no these strings aren't strimmer-wire but baling twine. Due t the F-Holes and sound bar they're surprisingly loud! - proper weedwackers are going on next week!
