I built this clock for my mother-in-law. She loved it, but her children hated to hear it. Hey would sneak and take the battery out of it when they visited, especially when they spent the night. Once, her son-in-law didn't hang it back up secure, and it fell and broke.  I repaired it and built a circuit so that it would only strike in the daylight. She has since moved in with her daughter, and I have the clock back....
