I've finally finished my little suitcase amp. The idea is that it can be plugged into and played with the lid shut, or opened up and used. The grill on the front is a vent for a narrow boat engine.
I've put inside a small battery powered mini amp, and designed it to have storage space for the power adapter, leads, can of beer and other essential gubbins.

Cheers Bug, you're very kind.

I'd been looking at this nifty fold-away guitar only the other day.

I love the idea of a folding cigar box guitar! It could almost be folded flat, if the box could be easily dismantled with quick releases. It would be a fun and challenging project...probably too challenging for the likes of me. But never say never, you've got me thinking.

Thanks folks, I'm really pleased how it's turned out. I'll post a vid soon, when I've learnt a new tune.

I have an old suitcase, similar to this, which is destined for something similar.  I bought an amp kit I am going to build into it.  I hope mine turn out close to as nice as yours.

Such pleasing colors.  They make me fell like a kid looking at a Christmas catalog/ wish book.  Nice git and amp.
