Very interesting project. How's the sound, can you hear the clicketyclick-sound when slapping the bass.
I was planning to make an upright in order to form a skifflebilly band :) in the future.
Did you put a piezo in the box or somewhere else ? I heard that you can also build a piezo in the neck for more clicketyclick-sound :). Great instrument, more ideas coming to me by seeing this...
