Uncle John, only you would ask what "kind" of owl. An owl is an owl ta me!!! lol 

BUT, to be serous, Unk: it is a European owl. I could have picked a larger Asian owl, but wanted to live ! lol There were also lots of baby owls. and I clapped/petted them. It is an Owl sanctuary type thing, based in Ayrshire (phot taken two weeks ago in Largs, Ayrshire) Here is link:          http://www.owl-magic.com/news/about/

Cool.  Looks  a bit like a great horned owl in the U.S.- but his ears are not up.  What kind of owl?
