Thanks a bunch Adam! It's pine, yeh it's got some torchin' done to it. I try and pick out wood with a lot of difference between light and dark grain. I know what you mean on the poplar, it don't like heat that much as it has no grain whatsoever. Try and pick put a wood with a lot of light and dark grain.

Hey Maddog,

Dig it a bunch! What kind of wood did you use? I'm assuming you put a bit of flame to it. I tried to get that effect on a poplar neck i was working with the other day, as I'm new to wood working, I guess I didn't get the desired effect because I was using the "wrong" wood for the burning-to-bring-out-grain process. Help a brother out!
