Flipping the box allows for the thinner wooden bottom to be the top of the CBG

Jerry,    The 'scarf joint' at the heel is a mistake and repair!

  The neck wood split and broke while I was working on the head stock. I glued it back and put a screw in through the front of the fret board near the box.  That's why there's a screw there in an unexpected, weird place. I then painted the neck over the brake area with wood glue, leaving a slight color change and shine to the first 6 inches or so of the neck.
