Finished off with a Rail Runner bridge with embedded rod piezo from CB Gitty. Sounds pretty good but I was a bit disappointed that the brass saddle seems to be glued in, so the height can't be adjusted. I'm afraid if I pull it out I'll rip the shrink wrap off the piezo. Oh well, fretting isn't terrible up to the 7th fret and it will definitely work for slide. : )

Thanks SS. Yeah, I'm leaning in that direction too. Do you use higher output pickups for under-the-lid build?
