Long Neck CB Chugger +: Surf n Turf Strings
Another prototype: 31 5/8” scale length with GGD Tuning. Surf GD with 200 and 100 lb test fishing line, Turf G with .080 trimmer line (tuned to the G string of a 4-string bass). Disc piezo, 3D printed parts, custom headless tuners. Sounds kind of like a guitar and bass at the same time!

Thanks! You are very observant Jerry! Your analysis is spot on. The previous build required me to do multiple resets of the tuners trying to pull strings tight by hand and it was clunky. The one tuner I’m using as a tensioner is a locking tuner which works well. I haven’t cut the strings yet just in case I need to to do one reset. Fishing line does stretch a bit.

I spy a tension jig for the monoline. Neat idea. So that gets you in the ballpark to use the headless tuners. Cool.
