KastKing Long Neck “Chugger” Cigar Box Guitar

Big La Gloria Cubana cigar box, 3-yardstick neck, 31 5/8” scale length, GD tuning, KastKing 200 lb and 100 lb test fishing line, side mounted piezo pickup, 3D printed frets mounted with double stick tape.

Comment by Doug Thorsvik on June 13, 2021 at 8:51am: You are very observant Keith! There is separation between the neck and the top all the way across. I use 2 - 3D printed washers, but you can use a metal fender washers as well. The idea is to allow the top to vibrate more freely. I designed the 3D washer to be a little thicker to allow a piezo to be attached to the underside of the neck. Didn’t matter in this case because the the back of the neck hangs over the end of the box.
