The main difference is the orientation of the grain, but this we due the size and shape of the offcuts they are made from. The other difference is that one has a Beech neck and one Poplar. They sound the same; both have a hot rail humbucker pickup. I might put a switch in so you can have a single of double coil.

 NIce builds! Is there much of a difference in the guitars or the sound of these besides the orientation of the grain?
