Carving minature birds (especially with my eyes in my declining years) is a challenge.  I've done some other

small birds..American Bald eagle in full flight..and the burning in the feather detail on the sets of different feathers that birds have is the biggest challenge, as the wood burning tip elements are larger than the minature feathers.

These were done about 5-6 years ago.   Right now, I'm working on a minature Golden Eagle which is similar to a Bald eagle and it is just as challenging in the feather detail as the the hummingbirds.  I have also done fish as well.

Also working on a carving duplicator machine.

that is absolutely awesome.  After that CBGs must be a cakewalk.
