I found this .... Red Dog Guitars johnmcnair's Channel ... on Youtube and thought I'd try this on an old mono 8track I had kicking around. You have to snip the tape head wires from the circut board and attach the jack wires in their place.

Next thing you'll be cruising yard sales for those dang things......I think I saw one of those Makita battery chargers with the radio on my job today......hmmm I think those things play with the batteries they charge. Those would make a great kick butt amp hack....IMMHO
