I had to build out the back of the headstock because the tuners required a minimum of 5/8th inch.

@ Uncle John, I had it lower originally, but it was interfering with my fingers comfortably reaching the first fret. I figured it couldn't be any worse than a simple headstock where you cut 1/4 inch off the face. Thanks for the comments!

Looks good.  I do them this way but extend the glued up piece a little lower.  Adds strength.
