Betty was made in 1956 at the Harmony Factory in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
She was branded a Silvertone and likely ordered and sold from a Sears Catalog.

She lived and played in Valentine, Nebraska, which is cowboy country and she came to me from Valentine in an old chipboard case with cowboy figures on it. I bought her cheap and broken off ebay. I don't know about her previous owner, but like to think he was a cowboy, or that at least that he (or she) played cowboy songs.

She has been re-glued together twice by me and she is now a four string in open G tuning. She is a purty nice old blues box.
