Build:
Cheapest shovel (or rather spade)
Black zipties as fret markers (3rd,5th,7th and 12th)
62cm (24,4") scale
Block of purpleheart as bridge,
Piezo in beercap and jack mounted directly on the bridge.
Steel corner to help transfer vibrations on top of the beercap - without it the sound is quieter, but I can give the beercap a thump with a finger to mic kickdrum. Without the steel corner the thump is mush lower and thumpy, with the corner it is a bit tinny. So there is a certain tradeoff.
Added steel, zinc plated nails as individual saddles.
The nut is two hooks, for individual strings.
Strings - cheap bronze acoustic strings.
Tuners - eyebolt and wingnut.
