The Tin Sign was another recent Birthday Gift of my Favourite Footy Team, the Box Sides are Recycled Solid pine, the back is Hardwood Marine Ply, the Neck is Grey Ironbark, the Fretboard is Forest Red Gum, all timber is coated with a Black Stain and Clear Acrylic Poly, and a 7.2k Tele Type Alnico Pickup is hardwired to the Jack. :-)

Thanks 'UJ',  the Grey Ironbark and Forest Red Gum are "Native Aussie Woods " from a gifted recycled entertainment unit, and the Hardwood Marine Ply I purchased a while back on a whim, originally had it strung up with lighter strings (32NW-20NW-15PS) and tuned DAd, but it didn't suit the build, changed to NW 46-30-20, and now sounds and plays well with a definite "Oingy Springy" sound to it, has no sound holes at present, but am contemplating putting some in to enhance the spring effect (probably on the sides of the box)  :-D

Looks fantastic.  You use such exotic (to me) woods.  How does it play, sound and SPRING?
