Fretless with zero fret, 2 vol's, 2 mini on/offs (separate pu's to on/off to vol to jack, yes, piezo made vol act like tone, but only affected 1 vol, so that gave me a working vol/tone setup with piezo/mag mix. Ha ha, take that, piezo! Read on...), ...kill switch, piezo disc under saddle, hidden under label at neck is my first hand wound humbucker. It's loosely based on the "Flat-Pup" design, and it's slightly "over wound", so I call I call it the Fat Pup. *note to fatpup.com, no need to call your lawyer, if I market it I'll change the name... And a word of warning about those Mother F******, excuse me, I meant those "My Father" white boxes, the lids are THICK, and DENSE, so plan for long shafts, and extra work. Like I didn't...live and learn. I must say, I thought my neighbor Mike I built it for was [expletive] when he insisted on no frets AND low action, but he can sure enough "play that thang". The fretboard wood I haven't id'ed yet, it's a scrap I found that I hadn't used for a fret board because I didn't want to cover it's beautiful grain with frets. Perfect for this. In reference to Mike, he can play it as if it were fully fretted, no string/board buzz, etc. I realize Mike's playing skills are way better than I thought, but that piece of wood and the over-all construction I think helped a bit. The title's a pun, as the head is a duplicate of the one on my Starcaster. And though I offered to pay for it, Mike won't change his name to Paul. Because then his stage-name could be "Fenderless Paul". ... Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...
