550mm scale solid walnut dulcimer

I needed a break from my uke and finishing up my banjo, so I hustled through this build and got it playing in about three hours. Still gotta drill a hole and imbed a piezo, as well as final sand if I decide I like how it sounds plugged in.
That dark area was a natural recess that I built around since it allows for picking clearance without a fingerboard.

Went at the plate for my machines with a dremel to get it to fit behind the headstock.
