4 String Box Guitar

Other than a finish, it's done. Hopefully my son will like this gift. Not excited about Peizo pickup. Very sharp/ sensitive. Any suggestions?

Comment by Richey Kay on December 25, 2013 at 9:18pm: Yep sounds about right. I should have mentioned I use the softer, more pliable variety of mouse mat... I usually include a volume pot as well, as the piezos usually won't perform their best at 100% volume! Thanks for the friend add!

Comment by Dave Lawlor on December 25, 2013 at 1:05pm: Thanks Richey, I really enjoy building these. I will try the Glue tip. I stuck it between 2 pads (like you would put on chair feet...mouse pad?). Straight hookup, no vol/tone.

Comment by Richey Kay on December 25, 2013 at 8:23am: This is amazing Dave - just my kind of thing. Really good job. Nowadays I wrap my piezo discs in a piece of mouse mat and glue the edges, seems to be a lot less harsh with less ambient noise and feedback. Merry Christmas to you!
