That's actually a plastic saddle I picked up at my local woodworker's store that I saw last time I was in there. (Constantine's in Ft. Lauderdale - www.constantines.com )  They have a few guitar making supplies, but are my main source for exotic woods.  I've usually gotton bone saddles and nuts off e-bay.

I routed a slot all the way through the bridge to set the saddle directly on top of the rod piezo.

I picked up some free Corian samples from the kitchen department at Home Depot that I'm going to try working with, but I don't know how I can slice it thin enough (1/8 - 3/16") acurately without a bandsaw.

What are you using on top of the maple bridge? Bone or corian?

Thanks UJ, I really appreciate the input.  I cut 6 necks at the same time, so I figure I'd do a little "production" run with the other Padrons I've got.
