    Hi -

I know someone from Grand Island...Finn, a great trumpet player and his wife Dani ride down on their Harley to play at our jams. They're great people and he works at a car dealership as the service manager, maybe you know them. It'd be great to get together with you, Willard and anyone else who lives in our area.

Finn comes down to Sanford to play at the jams I host. There aren't many opportunities for the Blues in Eustis. I used to host a Blues jam, play solo and with my band Doc & The Healers at Backroom Bluz in Eustis but thet're out of business now.

On the Jolene Cover video the tone of your guitar is awesome - a very clean acoustic sound!!! I'm curious as to the tuning and scale length? Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks for the response. I've been experimenting with different tunings on my 4-string guitars. I started with GDAD (Bouzouki) and am now trying DGBE (Baritone Uke). Is Open G the tuning you use most often on a 4-string? I just Googled it and found that on a 6-string it is DGDGBD, so for a 4-string is it DGDG? For strings are you using the first four of a normal acoustic guitar set or custom weights?

One more question... do you have any tips on controlling piezo's (sp) I tried some from Radio Shack and don't like the sound through a real amp. especially when you try to overdrive them for that blues sound...
  • Paul Doug

I appreciate you looking at my guitar and commenting. I hope to get as good at it as the rest of you guys.
  • Mark Melchior

Nice guitars and amps you have here.
  • Josh Gayou (SmokehouseGuitars)

"is that a custom made volume and tone plate??"

Nope. That's a standard plate that you'd order to build a real tele.

    Thanks for the kinds words.
