    Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Thank you for your encouraging comments and interest. When I finish the 3 string CBG lessons, I will be doing a series on 4 string CBG. For now, you can easily extend my 3 string lessons onto 4 string by adding a high d string (.016)and tuning GDgd. If you examine this tuning 1515 you will notice that the first 2 strings are an inversion of the 3 string CBG's first 2 strings 151. If you invert the information you learned in the 3 string lessons, it will help you understand this string arrangement. The future lessons will utilize Dgbd tuning. This adds a 3rd. This is a miniture of spanish tuning DGDgbd, 515135. Do you see I still have a 151 relationship hidden in the 6 string arrangement? Enjoy.

You bet I sent you the recipe for vintage tuners in your mail
  • Josh Gayou (SmokehouseGuitars)

Well, I wasn't blowing smoke, man. Most first guitars (and in some cases 100th guitars) are rickety creakers. My first definitely was. That's a hell of a start you've got with that one, and if you keep pushing yourself to do harder stuff you'll be building some very serious shit in no time.

Thank you for your kind comment! I was using and recycling materials I had lying around, hence the name...LOL! This was actually a total reworking of an earlier build, done WAY before I discovered this site. CHEERS! :-)
  • HENRY LOWMAN

By the way, it sure looks like you have advanced in YOUR building skills! I like your work!
