You need a saddle on top of the rod piezo for it to work correctly. Even a piece of hardwood will work, i use bone. The rods work when there`s pressure applied to them, via the saddle.

Thanks for the add mate - weird, I thought we already were too! Would appreciate some pics thanks. I will be attempting a neck through for my first attempt, and, lacking a router I will be attempting to cut the cavities with a drill and chisels :)

Hey Darryl , you're a  lucky bunch of buggers over there . I only found CW Stoneking by accident last summer while looking at some "Blues" section in HMV Bristol ... which typically touts Joe Bonamassa stuff lol ! I was'nt on line apart from work so took a chance on buying all 3 cd's at once and wasn't let down . I was drawn in partly  by the imagery and the fact the guy has a reclaimed valve amp called Kelvin ;-)

P.S. Darryl hi, by chance I came across the comment you sent on August 5, 2016 to Phil Hale: «Just for a clarification...» See my posting «Ok Scott, let's speak about ethics and respect...» and the discussion that followed from December 31, 2016 in «joes flatpickup». Seems I'm alone to speak clear text with our friend: his best contribution to low impedance pickup design would be to shut up for a month and study a textbook about elementary electrotechnics.
