cut up a pair of old jeans.... remove one leg, use the remaining for the neck and fix ties to the butt end for a flap to enclose the box...

anyone recommend a good size for a gig bag to protect my cbg? A regualr guitar bag will be way to big. Perhaps a Uke or banjo bag?

My first CBG, my next will be electric, learnt a lot good and bad, surprisingly strings gave most trouble. Think I will go 4 string  next time

just with tension so you can fine tune as you need...its almost mever right the first time

Nearly finished my first CBG, post  pics when done. Regarding Bridge Rod, how exactly is it mounted to the box, is it just held with tension or glue?

Regarding strings:  I used to use .012, .016, and .022, but on my latest build (Cohiba Robusto with 24" diatonic scale) I used .013, .017, and .030 David Gilmour Signature Series GHS Boomers and it really came alive!  I'm tuned DAd and I'm loving the tone and volume out of this box!

if your neck starts to bo cuz of the tension becuse of the high A...you can flip it and tune it D A d a too!
