Most of the stock I use is 1 1/2 inches thick. But I tend to make smaller builds. Not sure of general dimensions for a full size six string.

This should be fun.  I've had a Harmonia maple neck with a rosewood fretboard sitting around for about a year now that I didn't know what to do with.  Was going to build a CBG with it, but haven't found a box I liked.  Have a couple of humbuckers and a hardtail bridge to go with it.  Only thing missing is a nice piece of wood for the body.  I've got a piece of 1/16" thick flame maple I could laminate to some other stock.  Would like to see some patterns and dimensions I could glean from if anyone can post 'em.

"Fiona" my solidbody electric dulcitar

  Went looking for something different to build. Found the StrumStick first, that led me to an electric version. I call her "Fiona" IMO one of the prettiest things Ive built.
She has an Ash neck, Walnut fretboard, her body is poplar, Purpleheart and Cedar. Bridge is Bubinga and Paduk. I carved the nut from an antler my Dad saved many years ago.

ah ,,,you know my weakness , I can't work under pressure . We have Sheep Music this w/k end  Womad the week after , Farmer Phils 2 weeks after that, then  my son  is having a party a week after we get home , but his do is in Kent..... And  so far.... the weather is  shit

I'm abandoning the benders for these two, the octave pairs Gina make it too difficult for a first effort, I'll try em on a steel first I think
