Any suggestions on determining fair market value/sale price of CBGs? My typical instrument has 3 strings, fretted, with a rod piezo and Shane Speal Tuners.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I have a music shop in western Pa. I recently went to school for violin repair in West Virginia. I saw my 1st cbg and fell in love. Anyway,I'm looking for makers that make simple electric acoustic cbg's. They are barely heard of where I live and I want to get people buying and making them. I will tell you up-front that I need a few good lot deals at 1st. Maybe a lot of 5. It will be a hard road marketing and getting people to buy and build. I get laughed at allot when I say how much I love them lol. If interested send me a message on here. I will then give you details about our shop and invite you to our fb page and website. Thank you. :)

Canjos might be kinda cool to play but they are an impulse sort of thing.  Like buying cotton candy or a balloon at the fair.  They're fun, but who thinks, "Hey, I'd like to get a cool balloon, I think I'll look on Craig's List and see if anybody has one for sell.  You'd do better to take a few to a busy street corner and peddle them.

Not having any luck with a couple cool canjos I have on Craigslist.  I have them under music instruments and under collectibles.  Any ideas?  I can't be the only nut that thinks they are fun to play!  Well, my wife thinks...

I don't use them.  In fact I used to reinstall the hinges on the box (not the latches), but stopped doing that.  Of course, my guitars are all glued together and there's no reason to open them, ever.  I like to keep things kinda clean simple, and all that "bling" is something else to get caught on.  Here's a picture of a recent build.  The boxes are fancy enough without the added hardware.  As far as sales; well I'm always about 6 weeks behind in my builds so apparently folks aren't interested much in buying "bling".  They never ask me for it.  Just my humble opinion....

I was just curious about sales impacted by having them, the bling factor like Suspect put it. I have not installed them on any of my builds as of yet. However, I would if they will sell quicker. So structural is not my worry at all. And it was just a blanket question including any type.
