Sorry Brian - I was intending to introduce myself but every time I checked you looked busy and I didn't want to get in the way!  I'll definitely come over and say hello next time. 

Actually, I've decided that my mid-years resolution is to try and be a bit more active on here in future.  I've got a few more pictures to post and plenty of ideas for future builds - I just need to stop being so quiet all the time...

I personally don't think there is an optimum box size,Bill.A lot depends on what you're building,whether it's acoustic or not and what feels comfortable,etc My first diddly bow was a not very good box that measured 24mm x 13mm x 7mm and the next two were 24mm square x 6mm.The smaller one suits me better. I'm not keen on square box's,I prefer an oblong box as I find it more comfortable to hold and play and it looks good. Horses for courses,really....

Hi Bill, I am still a novice at CBG building, but I think you have a real opportunity to do what you want with your second build. Take a good look at the pictures pages and there are all kinds of things to aspire to.
