Hi folks just got back from a brill, gig in Doncaster, with Soulcatcher and Strolling Tone, thanks guys,A1+. 'fingers'
Hi Gary, not seen Justin's CD but I am using his videos on youtube. These are very good. Hope this helps.
To add to Steves list for this weekend, I'll be playing a CBG with Sergeant Buzfuz and doing a short set with me mate Chris on Harmonica at the 10 years of Antifolk night at the Barfly in Camden on Sunday.
So that's Doncaster, Cambridge, Morcombe and London all getting the CBG vibe on the same weekend!
,,,or a spring...
break a string, Steve! ...errr you only have one string? ,,,ok break a leg, then! ;-)
Gary
I have basic low spec hobby bandsaw (late 70s early 80s), following previous advice for Chickennbone John; I replaced the bladed with one form a supplier he recommended and although still basics machine the performance was much improved. Check out this setup video.

I also looking for a new band saw and have looked at the Aminster (I have their table saw) also the fox F28-191 of The F26-186. If you but anew one please feedback.
With bandsaws, it's not just about adjusting the guides - first off, put in a good, new blade - a worn blade can make things worse in terms of "drift". Then make sure the tension and the tracking on the top and bottom wheels is right, and finally sort out the top and bottom guides. Even after all this you may have to set the fence at a slight angle to compensate for the drift..it a fact of life with bandsaws, but the blade shouldn't be wandering..cutting at a very slight angle (that's "drift") is quite typical, but if it's wandering, it sounds like the tension might be too low and/or the blade may be worn unevenly.
Look on eBay for a used bandsaw, that's what I did, got my Record 300 for around £250 (less than half the price of a new one) and it had hardly been used. Also, havea look at the Axminster Hobby Series HBS310N Bandsaw..cast iron table and looks pretty decent. I've got an Axminster Table saw, and although it's called the "Hobby"Series", it's good solid piece of kit.
For ripping timber accurately you might be better off with a basic table saw..depends on what else you want it to do.
