Question for Chickenbone but may be relevant to others going to the Fest - is there to be the Guitar equivalent of a creche where we can safely park our little babies (and any other equipment) rather than cart them around all day - much as I love strutting my stuff with a geetar over my shoulder, I am sure there will be plenty of other poseurs better at it than even I am!

James, there will be playing workshops for various abilities throughout the day time.
If you want listening / music cds, Tinq should have his new cd ready in time, and Im sure HB will have some, prolly Redshaw too.
As for vendors, best ask CBJ. There will certainly be a few of us selling guitars and diddly bows, build-at-home kits etc, but folk usually turn up with boxes to trade, timber, merchandise etc.

does anyone know how many venders will be at the fest in Birmingham I'm lookin for some odds and ends as well as some cd's and instructional material

I got a message from ChickenBoneJohn that he's playing at White Lion in Walsall around 8. Not sure where I'll end up right now since I have a friend I'm meeting for supper Friday evening but I may try to make it over there. Never been to the UK so I don't plan on sitting in the hotel room if I can help it.

hi raymond i live in Rugeley the next town up from Cannock i dont really know where is best to go in cannock its not exactly the place to be if you know what i mean, but i'll ask my mate what he thinks. as for CBG friendly think im the only one around these parts!

Hey Guys - happy bunny here - went into my local music shop and he gave me a handful of foldy stuff! He sold 2 of the 5 guitars I gave him! Yippee! Interestingly they were both plain wood - 1 oak box and one vintage box - not much interest in the ones with labels or fancy paint jobs. Plus one of his punters has some old boxes he wants to do a deal on in return for a CBG. It's my birthday eve so party tomorrow!!!

Anyone in or around Cannock? I'm heading over to the UK on Wednesday for a whirlwind tour and will be stuck in the dungeons of a server room during the day but might have some time in the evening for a beer or two. Any suggestions for a pub? Especially one that's CBG friendly.

it only seems a few days ago that I said it might be good if 'The Brits are coming' could reach 200 members before he festival.

We are now at 207 members.

Fantastic. I'd like to welcome all the new members and look forward to meeting as many of you as I can at the festival.
