I've no direct experience with hotels in Wolverhampton, but if it were me I'd look at the budget chains - Premier Inn, Novotel, Travelodge, Holiday Inn Express, Ibis etc. These are always a safe bet and I book touring artists in at these places.
Avoid the cheap "hotels"at all costs...I've had some real horror stories from people booking into what are effectively doss house hostels masquerading as hotels...the website may look OK but Tripadvisor tells another story altogether. Tripadvisor is your friend!!
Airbnd.co.uk is always worth a look, and apretty safe bet. Cheap private rooms often in someone's house or an apartment let. My kids use "airbnb" for accommodation on holiday, and I've had overseas visitors use it to find accommodation when coming to me for lessons etc.
That works fine John. Tickets bought. Look forward to seeing you there.
Same here.
Yup, 404 page not found.
John,
Really like to come to Boxstock. The link on your post doesn't work for me - gives Page Not Found.

Boxstock is back!!!
The UK Cigar Box Guitar Festival returns with a packed programme. Headlining with a guaranteed rip-roaring performance from the one and only Hollowbelly. Also on the bill are Chickenbone Blues (the full band featuring the amazing Dave Smith on harmonica), gritty old time blues from Vincent Slegers all the way from Belgium, and newcomers the Dusk Brothers duo.
It's a great opportunity to meet up with everyone who's anybody on the cigar box guitar scene. I really hope that people who haven't been to one of these events before will come and meet some like-minded people to share their love of the music and the instruments. If you've been strumming away in your bedroom or tinkering in the shed, this is the opportunity to get your music or your guitars out to a wider audience.
During the daytime (free entry) there will be trade stands with cigar box guitars on display and for sale, a "Make and Play" workshop where you can make your own cigarbox guitar (ticket required) and an all day open open mic. I've already had people asking about playing, but as time in the evening is limited and the bill is already full, we will be running all day open mic sessions. I'm sure this will be popular, so if you want to play, please message me and I'll do my best to fit everyone in. Also, if you are a guitar maker and want to come and display your wares, it's just £30 for a trading spot - please message me if you are interested.
It's a pukka music venue in the centre of Wolverhampton, easily accessible off the motorway and rail networks, with plenty of parking close by. On the Sunday there's also The Guitar Show happening in Birmingham, just half an hour away, so the ideal reason to make a weekend of it.
SAVE £1.50 with the "Early Bird" offer. There are limited number of "Early Bird" tickets available direct from us. Once these go on general release to the public there will be an additional £1.50 booking fee payable.
Yep. The link works fine now and those really are beauties. Hoping to get to Boxstock for the first time in February so I need to keep saving up for it! So many shiny, new temptations along the way. Have a great weekend John.
