I'm booked in at the Novotel, which is 10 minutes walk away. However I don't know how many times I will have to walk back and forth with 12 to 15 guitars, amps and merchandise to carry!

I got a pretty good deal at the Novotel through booking .com when I booked a couple of months ago. £107 for two nights for me and the wife. Not bad for less than 60 quid a night. Don't know if the deal is still available, might be worth checking.

I'm advising people to book in at the Novotel, or Premier Inn...failing that another of the budget chains..I've no experience of the Britannia, but from Trip Advisor it looks rough...just saying.

I'm  pre booked ( via Booking.com) at the Britannia hotel a few minutes away, no deposit or cancellation fee, if a better price/option can be had closer to the event simple enough to book elsewhere.

Keith, sounds like you have booked the same hotel as me, cheap as chips, no deposit or cancellation fee and very handy for the venue. Reviews are varying, half expecting to be able to pick my own mushrooms from the shower tray. Going to pack some disposable paper overalls with hood as back up. The hotel is only some where to lay my intoxicated head within staggering distance of the venue. It will be fine..... I hope

Sounds like I should definitely try to get out there.  If I can get shot of this Fender Squire I've got sitting around, I'll at least have a little pocket money :)

It sounds like we are all 'noobies' at this CBG festival stuff. I will be going, and I have booked by hotel room. I do have a couple of questions, what time can I setup my stand? I have to check in at the hotel at a set time, and is there somewhere to park for unloading the guitars etc?
