Malcolm. My ETA (by train) is 3pm ( manchester victoria). Heading for the holiday inn express off swan st and then from there looking to hook up and taxi to evening bash.

LAST MINUTE BED AVAIL FOR BOXSTOCK....

Due to a slight change of plans, there are one or two beds spare at the Salutation for Boxstock weekend. They are basic but clean and freshly decorated, and are en-suite. Cost is £37.50 per person for the 2 nights, Fri & Sat. When theyre gone, theyre gone...

What's the plan of attack for Friday arrival up norf/doon sooth (please delete as applicable)? Are we meeting at the Band on the Wall to set up for Saturday or going straight to the Salutation for a pint and a burger? Rough E.T.A's anyone? I'll aim at getting there for about 3pm.

Sorry Soul - thats way outa my league!

Just heard from the Salutation (location of Fridays open mic and Hollowbelly gig). The pies are out..... the weather is due to be fine so they're laying on a BBQ for us! Burgers, hot dogs, veggie option etc etc, all £3.50 a go... perfect!

Been messing around with a few Skip James songs

but ive been playing them in G but ive found out that he plays in E minor

So does any of you guys n girls know what the tuning would be on a 3 stringer ?

just let you know as well i use the 5th/4th/3rd strings

Hey Gary, come up to Boxstock and have a look (and a play) on everything other folk are building - you'll learn heaps in the space of the weekend. Im always amazed at the stuff guys are building and get home with a head full of new ideas....
