Boxstock... What a blast! Good to catch up with a few old faces and loads of new ones. What a weekend. Vinylhead, you are AWESOME man, I'd pay money to see you perform again, (pence, you understand!!!)

what a great w/end...echo everything below. been to 6 festys this summer and heard and saw the best at Boxstock. def on for next year. cool to meet all the people i only knew on CBN...big love to you all    ;)

Just got back 'darn sarf' from Manchester - as Smojo says "a cracking weekend".

Huge hanks to Ben and John for pulling it all together - again! Always good to catch up with the gang (Ponkster, Alan H, The Prof, the artiste formally known as....(you know who you are), the aforementioned Smojo, tall Paul, Tony D, the legend that is HB, and everyone else I've no doubt forgotten). Big surprise of the weekend for me?......definitely BabaJack. They were bloody awesome. I knew Dave, Mike and the guys from Finland were going to be excellent (they were) but I kinda thought BabaJack would be a too folky for me, how wrong could I be! Powerful, driving blues from the selfmade wine box guitar of Trevor and the amazing talents of Becky Tate (steady boys!). I would definitely travel some miles and pay good money to see them again.

Time now for a decent shower, some homecooked grub (no three mile walk to bloody Burger King - thank you Ben!) and to start designing the next build.

See you all next year. (What did we say? Four days in Ullapool?!!)

Boxstock - what a cracking weekend, cheered me up no end. So I'd like to say a big thanks to CB John, Ben, Malcolm and everyone who had a hand in organising the event. A bit disappointed that more people didn't turn up but is was great to see  a few old CBG pals and make a few new ones. It's like a family and there was a feeling of great warmth and friendship. I do hope the fest is going to continue next year but it may need a little rethinking to keep it alive and kicking.

 

Loved the gig, Baba Jack - so much energy in their swampy, bluesy, rhythmic style - just my cuppa tea. Mike Snowden did a nice set and Dave Acari - what a thoroughly entertaining act - words can't describe him! The guys from Finland were pretty awesome too. If you didn't get to the gig you have to check these folks out. I need to catch up on some sleep, my head's somewhere else.

I know we will enjoy, I was hoping to meet you bemuzic, to discuss playing the 2 string bass, I'm progressing slowly but getting there!   Fingers. (G)
